What we did:

  • Production:
  • Convert all files from Quark to Adobe® InDesign.
  • Create Excel files for all product opening specs tables.
  • Re-formated text to OpenType.
  • Apply new 2009 design format.

Our 20+ year collaboration with Andersen® has produced many projects. For example:

Andersen’s busy in-house Creative Services department needed to update and convert the company’s 256 page annual Product Guide from Quark format to Adobe® InDesign. Also, they required data tables from the catalog to be output to Excel format (for editing by other departments).

In addition, the catalog’s content needed to be put into a brand new design format. And, all fonts had to be re-specified and changed from PS Type 1 to OpenType format.

For the 2009 Andersen Product Guide, we:

  • Converted all files from Quark to Adobe® InDesign.
  • Re-formatted inline text files that had been formatted to resemble tables to true Excel spreadsheet files. Then re-formatted the Excel files into Adobe® InDesign table.
  • Re-formated all text (to OpenType).
  • Applied the new 2009 design format changes.
  • Cleaned up and fixed many additional hidden problems such as improperly formatted text and image files, and when necessary, we modified or created new artwork.

Best of all, we met Andersen’s tight time-frame and budget.
